Components of a gutter system

Drains- Drains are the main component of the system. They are the ‘gutters’ that collect water and drain it away from your home.

Downspouts- Downspouts are the pipes that carry runoff water from the gutters to the ground or to a drain.

Downspout Elbows- Downspout elbows are curved pieces that connect the downspout to the gutter and are often needed at the gutter line or at the bottom of the downspout across the eaves to direct water in a certain direction.

Rain Chains- Rain chains are an aesthetically pleasing alternative to downspouts. They are usually made of metals such as copper or aluminium and hang from the gutter to the ground.

End Caps- End caps are installed at the end of gutters. They seal off the end of the gutter system to prevent water from escaping the system.

Hangers- Gutter hangers are brackets that hold the gutters to the soffit of the house and provide the necessary support needed for the gutters.

Downspout Brackets Downspout brackets are brackets that secure downspouts to the home.

Gutter Guards- Gutter guards are installed over the gutters. They filter out debris that clogs the gutters.
